Turmeric processed food

Turmeric is a perennial plant of the Zingiberaceae family and there are many types distributed throughout the world. As being cold sensitive plant, turmeric grows naturally only in limited regions in Japan such as Okinawa and Kyushu. Turmeric is originally native to tropic Asia.
There are tree types of turmeric commonly used in Japan; Fall turmeric, Spring turmeric and Purple turmeric.
Spring and purple turmeric have a high content of essential oil and fall turmeric contains curcumin.
