Oligosaccharides
Oligosaccharide consists of a few monosaccharides units linked together. Oligosaccharide gets the name from the Greek “oligos”, which means “a few”.
It can be found in breast milk, and native animals and plants. The most common oligosaccharides are disaccharides including sucrose, lactose, trehalose and maltose.
It has been identified that oligosaccharide stimulates the growth of good bacteria and various oligosaccharides have been discovered.
