“Amycenone” is extracted, separated and refined from “Lion's Mane Mushroom (Hericium erinaceum)” with a new method of solvent extraction process, which uses only ethanol and water as solvents.
“Amycenone” contains 0.5% “hericenones” or more and 6% “amyloban” or more. Both “hericenones” and “amyloban” are active ingredients of Lion's Mane Mushroom.

◆What is Lion's Mane Mushroom (Hericium erinaceum)?

Lion's Mane Mushroom is a mushroom belonging to family Hericiaceae that is few in number in Japan. It grows on the trunk or the stump of broadleaf trees such as sawtooth oak, walnut and chinquapin trees.
In China, it is called “Hou Tou Gu” and has been traditionally used and appreciated.
It has no pileus and is characterized by its unique appearance like a hedgehog.
Lion's Mane Mushroom is rich in vitamins, amino acids and minerals as well as β‐glucan and dietary fiber.
