| ◆About Benifuki |
Benifuki is known as a phantom tea since small amounts are cultivated in particular regions such as Shizuoka, Kyushu and Okinawa. Researched by research institutions of public-private-academic sectors, methylated catechin contained in Benifuki has started receiving attention.
Benifuki is originally for black tea, but it was found that if Benifuki is processed into green tea, it becomes richer in methylated catechin compared with other tea.
BENIFUKI RYOKUOU is made from 100% Benifuki cultivated in Makinohara-city, Shizuoka.
◆About methylated catechin
Methylated catechin is Epigallocatechin-3-O-gallate, a type of catechin, a bitter component contained in green tea.
Benifuki was originally developed for black tea, but methylated catechin is generated when it is processed into green tea.
BENIFUKI RYOKUOU is prepared in easy-to-drink tablet form.
