Raffinose 100 is a 100% pure natural oligosaccharide which is made by extracting and purifying oligosaccharide from sugar beets cultivated with loving care in Hokkaido. And it is processed into easy-to-take granule form.
As it gets chilly in fall harvest season, sugar beets start storing raffinose within the cells in order to prevent from the freeze. It is a natural oligosaccharide produced under the harsh natural environment.

◆Sugar beets
Sugar beet is a biennial plant of Beta, Chenopodiaceae Family.
Looking similar to radish, it is commercially grown primarily as a source of sugar. The sucrose reserves are stored in roots.
◆Raffinose
Raffinose can be found in minute amount in beans, wheat, sesame, cabbages, potatoes, grapes, corn, etc. and has been being consumed by humans for a long period of time. It is derived from sugar beets through separation and refinement process. It becomes a source of nutrient for bifidus bacteria in the large intestine.
◆Oligosaccharides
An oligosaccharide is a saccharide polymer containing a small number (typically two to ten) of component sugars. It becomes a source of nutrient for bifidus bacteria in the large intestine.
■Sweetness
Raffinose has 20% the sweetness of sugar. But it is sweet and tasteful, very similar to sugar. It is safe for children and elderly to consume.
