Kumis Kuching is a perennial herb of the Lamiaceae Family which grows to a height of 1 meter. The flowers are commonly white or shade of purple and it is native in South China, India and South East Asia. As the far-exerted filaments look like cat's whiskers, it is called Kumis Kuching which means cat's whiskers in Malay language.
Kumis kuching contains a large amount of potassium and rosmarinic aid (a polyphenol).
